DIRECTIONS:

  1. CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Using Glogster, create a Poster presentation for 1 Major Character from the novel.
*MUST INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
a. 5 Traits/Qualities describing your chosen character
20 points - 4 points per trait/quality
b. 5 Written Descriptions of rationale for choosing traits/qualities.

c. 5 Visual Depictions (to go with each chosen trait/quality).
20 points - 4 points per image
d. 4 Quotes from the story that provide evidence of chosen character’s traits/qualities.
i. Quotes can be spoken by any character, not just your chosen character.

e. Visual Depiction of chosen character.
Find images OR dress up as character for presentation.

2. NEWSPAPER circa 1967! – Using Glogster, create a Newspaper from 1967, which includes
the following items:
*MUST INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
a. 3 Newspaper/Journalism stories reporting on Major Events that occurred in The
Outsiders.
i. Examples: Stabbing in the park, Rescuing the children from the fire, The Rumble,etc
45 point - 15 points per article
b. 1 Interview Column with characters from The Outsiders.
i. Examples: How does a given character feel about an event that occurred? What is a
the Socs and the Greasers?

c. Obituary written for Johnny Cade of Dallas (Dally) Winston.
i. Obituary = A notice of the death of a person, often with a biographical sketch, as in a
newspaper.

d. MUST incorporate a minimum of 1 Picture per written article.
